treadmill test: A test in which an EKG or electrocardiogram monitors heart activity as the patient exercises on a treadmill machine.

unstable angina: A type of angina where the frequency and severity of angina attacks suddenly change. Unstable angina is a medical emergency, as the root cause may be a coronary artery plaque that suddenly ruptures.

variant angina: Another term or Prinzmetal's angina.

vasodilators: Any medication that causes the blood vessels to dilate, or expand, increasing blood flow.

ViagraŽ: A male erectile dysfunction medication that reacts adversely with nitrate medications.
